Please watch a video or documentary from the list provided by your instructor.

Reflect on the video or documentary watched and provide answers to the questions below.

** Do not reiterate the documentaries in your answers. You can use aspects of the video in the paper, however, do not explain the video for answers. If the video is older then 5 years it should not be used for reference unless using a quote (for example). Answer questions in order and write the paper using APA format (ie including headers)

Research portion of assignment

Identify the population affected

Discuss what population (IE. Age, gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, etc.) is seen in the video and provide literature to support why this population may be affected by mental illness.

Does this population tend to be affected more by mental illness?

What is the mental health concern depicted in the video/documentary

Advise what major mental illness is seen in the documentary and provide literature to support how this relates to the population. Stats are also welcome. Some videos share more than 1 illness, you are welcome to focus on just 1

Explain why you chose this particular issue/topic and how it is directly related to the population

Is the illness something you or someone you know suffers from?

Do you have an interest in the illness?

If you can choose a video that is meaningful to you, please describe it with this question. Use references as needed to back up your claims or comments

Research and describe two mental health interventions that could be relevant to this issue and population

Use nursing interventions and stay away from medications. Use literature to back up

Ensure that interventions are therapeutic in nature

Reflect on the video/documentary that you watched and answer the following questions:

What emotions were invoked while watching the video/documentary? Talk about your emotions and why you believe they came up

Describe how the documentary or video made you feel about the population depicted.

What emotions/feelings arose from seeing the population affected in the video? What challenges did the population face and why? Use current literature to back up why these challenges may have come up in the population leading to mental illness

What knowledge did you gain from the video or documentary?

What did you learn about mental illness or modalities to treat mental illness or who is affected most by the mental illness, etc. (mention at least 3)

How will this help you in your future nursing practice?

How will what you learned be used in your future nursing practice?
