The most crucial component of this report is the application of insights, concepts, tools and techniques discussed in the class relevant to the chosen organisation.

1) Organisation Selection

Your group needs to research a specific supply chain management topic, strictly in theSERVICE INDUSTRY in Australia.

2) Written Business Report

Each group is required to identify the critical issues related to supply chain management based on your selected organisation. Providing supportive resources, including primary or secondary data from the selected organisation, would be useful to describe the issues you identified in the context of the material covered in the course. In addition, you are expected to find additional external resources, such asMcKinsey, Bains Insights, Harvard Business Review, MQ database (IBISWorld, Passport, FitchConnect, Frost & Sullivan, D&B Hoovers, Business Source Premier, Factiva, Australian Bureau of Statistics), etc.The report should be written concisely and structured in the following way, but not limited to:

i.Organisation selection this section briefly describes background research and the organization identified.

ii.Problem identification and analysis this part mainly identifies the issues faced by the organisation. The adoption of an appropriate method/technique/framework for analysis, etc.

iii.Recommendations providing at leastthree recommendationsindicates how the selected organisation may pursue in order to deal with the issues identified in the last section. Present this with as many visual illustrations as possible andadd quantifiable outcomes (e.g. dollar savings, lead time reduction, quality improvement, etc.). Presenting theaction planfollowed by the organisation should be also included. For instance, the use of a Gantt Chart or similar visual display is highly recommended. The section should also include challenges or tactics used by management in order to overcome these challenges.
