Description of the organisation
Australia's main governing organization for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health is the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO). It advocates for community-developed solutions that enhance the quality of life and health results for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and offers counsel and direction to the Australian Government on policy and budget issues (NACCHO, 2019). Out of the 6,000 staff members employed by NACCHOs, more than 3,500 have an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ancestry, making it the third biggest provider of these individuals in Australia. The main healthcare network has more than 550 locations across the country. The comprehensive primary health care strategy implemented by NACCHOS is consistent with the overall approach to health and the concept of Aboriginal community governance. Only local Aboriginal people with authority over health care administration can address the poor health of Aboriginal people (NACCHO, 2019).

Weaknesses |

1. Funding: A significant portion of NACCHO's funding comes from government grants, which are occasionally erratic and susceptible to political whims. Long-term projects may be difficult for NACCHO to plan and carry out as a result (Kuilman & Van der Heijden, 2017). 2. Limited Membership: Despite the fact that a large number of municipal health agencies are represented by NACCHO, there are still many that are not participants. The organization's impact and scope are thus constrained. 3. Communication: NACCHO and its members need to communicate more effectively as members are not kept up to date. |

Force field diagram
A method for solving problems, force field analysis examines the factors supporting and resisting a specific organizational change.
Driving factors
- Members of NACCHO are devoted experts in public health who are committed to enhancing the health of their communities (Chakraborty & Tewari, 2018).
- Resourceful team: NACCHO has a knowledgeable and devoted team that is dedicated to assisting members in their job in public health.
- Financial Resources: NACCHO is able to successfully carry out its job thanks to a reliable source of financing (Doherty & King, 2017).
- Legislative Support: NACCHO has received considerable legislative support and acknowledgment over the years, which has expanded its exposure and impact in the public health field.
Restraining Forces:
- Limited Resources: Despite having a consistent source of funding, NACCHO still has a limited amount of resources, which makes it difficult for it to satisfy the various requirements of its members (Biswas & Hossain, 2017).
- The public health sector's policy climate is constantly changing, and NACCHO needs to adjust to these changes in order to stay successful and pertinent.
- Competition: NACCHO's finances and impact are constrained by competition from other public health groups (Linge, 2017).
- Resistance to Change: The capacity of NACCHO to launch new projects or programs may be constrained by the resistance of some of its members or constituents to change.
Implications
This study can help NACCHO find both its assets, such as its wide network of partners and members, and its liabilities, such as its finite resources and capacity (Shaikh & Karjaluoto, 2017). Contrarily, forcefield analysis looks at the factors that favor or oppose a suggested change. This can assist NACCHO in comprehending the forces that are pushing for change, such as the rising demand for health services, and the forces that are holding it back, such as member or shareholder opposition to change.
Together, these analyses can aid NACCHO in gaining a more complete grasp of its position and in formulating successful strategies to meet its objectives. For instance, NACCHO can use the knowledge obtained from these studies to concentrate on its chances and strengths while resolving its dangers and weaknesses.
