You have to demonstrate that you have learned and understood the elements of revenue management, along with the capabilities and skills to analyse data and develop strategies.
Task Description
When it comes to Revenue Management the main goal is to make revenue or profit for your hotel. For this assessment, we want you to create a report for your HOTS hotel management team. This report must communicate to the management team of your hotel, how you have performed over the first quarter of the year. This report should communicate to the management team what your strategy is in your particular role (i.e. Financial Controller OR Rooms division Manager OR Sales and Marketing Manager OR Revenue Manager OR General Manager). You need to remember, that your individual roles need to align with your hotels overall strategy and goals
Task instructions
In the report you must use the following information:
Figures, tables and illustrations to support your explanations;
A minimum of five academic sources;
Reports and statistical information if you consider these are necessary;
12-point Arial. 1.5 line spacing, and page number;
Submit a word document in Turnitin;

Special consideration
Students wishing to request special consideration to extend the due date of an assessment task must submit a Request for Special Consideration form via their MyEnrolment page as early as possible and prior to the original due date for that assessment task, along with any accompanying documents, such as a medical certificate.
Late submissions and penalties
Except when special consideration is granted, late submission of assessment tasks will lead automatically to the imposition of a penalty. Penalties will be incurred as soon as the deadline is reached.

Grades and feedback

Important note: In order to achieve a passing grade in this unit you must submit all assessment tasks and obtain a score of at least 50% of the total assessment marks for the unit.
GenAI May Not be Used
Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tools, such as ChatGPT, may not be used for this Assessment Task. You are required to demonstrate if you have developed the units skills and knowledge without the support of GenAI. If you use GenAI tools in your assessment task, it may result in an academic integrity breach against you as described in the Student Academic and Non-Academic Misconduct Rules, Section 3.
