This assessment is designed to allow students to identify issues in the hospitality industry today and how technology can help overcome the issue.
Task Description
You will use a presentation tool (PowerPoint, Prezi, etc.) and a video recording app (Zoom, Meet, etc.) to present the issue in your chosen hospitality or tourism venue (hotel, restaurant, resort, etc.). Ideally, the venue location is in Australia; however, the technology solution can be a solution that was successfully implemented in an overseas venue.
Your presentation is 15 minutes.
Your presentation should include:
- Introduction to the business.
- Description of the issue and how it impacts the business (revenue, reputation, business culture).
- The proposed technology solution, evaluation and implications.
Task instructions
Video record your presentation with your image and voice using Zoom or Teams. Submit to Turnitin using the link in the Assessment 3 folder. If the video file is larger than 50 MB, upload your video to your OneDrive storage, and share the file with your teacher. To Turnitin, submit an MS WORD file with the link to your video recording file in OneDrive storage.
Referencing and in-text citations should be as per the SCU Harvard format.
