For this task, you will examine the behaviour support plan of an NDIS participant and a scenario involving the participant being supported by an NDIS provider.

In your analysis you will:

Identify all practices that may be considered regulated restrictive practices present

Assess whether the approach being used towards the person promotes human rights and adheres to the legislative and policy requirements

Recommend appropriate processes, authorisation and reporting of regulated restrictive practices

Recommend alternative approaches where the use of the restrictive practice was not the least restrictive.

Where the practice does not promote human rights, or meet legislative and policy requirements, what alternative approach would you suggest?
