Length: The written assignment should be a maximum of 750 words, not including the References section.
Objective: In this assignment, you are being asked a draft systematic review protocol. It can be for a review in any area of global health. You have to check Prospero and Cochrane first, to make sure that you havent chosen a topic which already has a review (or multiple reviews ongoing) to avoid any potential concerns with academic integrity.
In this assessment, you should write up a rigorous systematic review protocol, for how you would do things if you could design the strongest possible review on your topic. You should briefly provide a rationale of why you have made the decisions that you have made.
On the next page, youll see the questions for the review protocol. You should use these are your template, answering them all within the 750 words. That is, dont write up a freeform narrative but instead be sure to answer all of the review protocol questions in the template.
Assessment: The written assignment and accounts for 35% of your mark in this module.
The assessment will be broken down as follows (out of 100%): 60% for creating a rigorous but achievable systematic review plan, 10% for choosing an appropriate review topic. and 20% for clarity of thought and expression.
Feedback: You will get both group-level and individual-level feedback on this written assignment. The group-level feedback will be delivered during lecture time. The individual-level feedback will be in the form of both your mark on the assignment and a written comment on the submission.
Due date: 14 February by 6pm
Tips:
This assignment should not be in the form of a research report or an essay. There is no need to include an abstract, introduction, methods, etc sections. Instead, you are meant to use the template on the next page and to answer each question one-by-one there.
Please write in full sentences and in paragraph form. Bullet points are not acceptable for this assignment. You should use APA style formatting for the submission and the references. There is no need, however, for a title or a title page.
If you submit an assignment that more than 10% of 750 words, you will receive an automatic 20% off. Please stay within the word limit. The word limit does not include the References section or a cover page (should you include one, which again, you do not need to do).
