Part A: Develop and create a learning task (activity not lesson plan) for students in stage 4 OR 5 to teach literacy in one of your teaching areas. This MUST have an explicit focus on ONE of the three areas of literacy that is needed in your KLA area:
Link that task to the National Literacy Progressions (Speaking and Listening/ Reading/ Writing)
You need to provide the scaffolds for the task so that students are able to complete the task. These may include but are not limited to: Your task and scaffolding should be equivalent to about 800 words in the assessment workload.
Part B Write a rationale of 400 words that uses 3-5 citations to appropriate and relevant research or academic literature that explains and justifies your choices in the design of the literacy task. You should use first person and formal voice to explain this.
Part C Write a 300-word reflection about how this task has developed your capacity to teach literacy in your teaching area, and what you have learnt from the required readings, practical tutorials and design of the task. You should use first person voice in this reflection. General Comments Present your work as academic writing in a professional manner using correct APA 7 referencing. 22
