This assessment asks you to write a review of a mental health issue and relevant interventions, and map where the intervention links to the Mental Health Promotion, Mental Illness and Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Plan.

Critical Review Outline
1.0 Introduction (approximately 150 words)
Briefly outline your chosen issue, target group, and the intervention that will be discussed in the report.
2.0 Rationale (approximately 750 words)
The rationale should include a summary of the mental health issue, your target group, and your rationale for addressing the issue. You should clearly outline how your target group is a priority population as listed in the Mental Health Commission Prevention Plan. This should be supported with appropriate references. Your argument should be clear and concise.
3.0 Outline of a mental health promotion intervention (approximately 450 words)
Select ONE specific mental health promotion intervention relevant to the issue and target group you have selected. Briefly describe the intervention. Consider describing the setting, numbers of people who participated in the intervention, how it was implemented (components) use of theoretical models in the development of the intervention and any results outlined in the evaluation. You should specifically use language from the Spectrum of Interventions to support your discussion (for example, this intervention includes both universal and selective prevention strategies).
4.0 Links to the Mental Health Commission Strategic Plan (approximately 200 words)
Identify which Action Domain the intervention you have discussed in 3.0 relates to from the Mental Health Commission Prevention Plan. You should also identify what Life Stages your intervention reflects in the Plan.
5.0 Recommendations (approximately 300 words)
Considering your readings about the issue, target group, and intervention and make two to three recommendations for future interventions relevant to the issue and target group. These recommendations should be supported by literature and MUST be referenced.
6.0 Conclusion (approximately 150 words)
Briefly summarise the key points made in your paper. Remember no new information should be added in your conclusion.
