STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to: 

1. Select and apply appropriate research methods to design, collect and analyse data on an approved topic in an ethical way
2. Integrate knowledge from relevant disciplines to interpret empirical findings, draw conclusions, develop innovative solutions to complex problems and justify your recommendations
3. Present and explain findings and recommendations in an appropriate and convincing way for specialist and non-specialist audiences

Assessment1 Research Proposal

Develop a research proposal based on one of the key international business issues faced by the visiting company to make research-based recommendations to address the selected research problem. Please include the following in your research proposal:

1. Introduction/Context
2. A brief literature review/ Theoretical framework
3. Research purpose and problem/questions 
4. Methodology (Data collection, analysis method)

Assessment2  Presentation

Assessment3 Project-Research project

The project consists of two main sections that are designed to compliment the other two assessments. These are:

1.   Two periodic briefing documents (due in Week 3 and Week 7) that provide an update on your project, including any areas that you require assistance with. This is worth 10/60 for the total assessment mark.

2.   The final project culminating the research that you have undertaken. This is worth 50/60 of the assessment mark.
