You are engaged to provide technical advice for an accessible carparking bay relevant to a class 6 building, where there is concern that the required accessible carparking bay is constructed incorrectly.

The following site-specific information is provided:

  • A photograph of the accessible carparking space
  • As constructed drawing of the accessible carparking space

From the information provided, you are required to use your knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards to:

  • Identify the NCC requirements relevant to the accessible carparking bay
  • Tabulate the non-compliances (a minimum of two, assuming a deemed-to-satisfy solution was used)
  • Discuss how the particular NCC clauses/requirements relate to overall NCC compliance (with part A2.0)
