You are on placement at a local health service or health private practice and the team (including students) have been advised by the occupational therapy manager that there is a surplus in the budget. This will allow the service to purchase a form of assistive technology for use by the occupational therapists with their clients. The manager has asked all members of the occupational therapy team (including students) to research and present a pitch outlining a type of assistive technology they believe would be beneficial for the service to purchase for use with their clientsBased on this you are required to create a 7-minute video pitch which outlines the following points:
Who are your Clients & What is the Service?
What is the service and what is the scope of practice for your organisation?
Who is the client group the technology will be used with?
What is the Occupational Problem?
What is the client groups occupational problem you are intending to address with the technology?
What is your Solution?
What is the technology you are recommending the service purchase (including approximate costing)?
How will the technology be used to enhance clinical services?
How will the technology be used within occupational therapy clinical practice to address the clients needs? Outline a realistic plan!
What is the research to support the use of this technology by the service with clients? back your plan up with facts!
What are the considerations for the service purchasing the technology? e.g. cost, training, etc. What else does the manager need to know?

NOTE: Remember, you are an occupational therapy student. Please choose technology that fits within the occupational therapy scope of practice. It is in your best interest to choose the same technology you have already researched in your literature review (assignment 1)
