A 40 years old female patient suffered from right hip pain and restricted range of motion. She
presented her X-ray image and required a total hip replacement (Figure 1).
1. You are asked to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the implant listed below and
select the one most suitable for this patient and explain in details the rationales of your
choice.
2. You should also discuss the suitable bearing surface for this patient, their advantages and
disadvantages, together with your choice.
