Prepare A Report For Overview of Organization's

The individual report should be the equivalent of 2500 words and should cover the following areas [weighting in brackets]:

Overview of the client [5%]

You are expected to provide an overview of your client. The overview should be comprehensive and address the following questions (but should not be limited to these questions):

• What kind of organization? How old is it?
• What are the organization's objectives?
• Who are the key people affecting the project?
• What are your initial impressions of the client brief? Is it clear and focused?
• How much work will be needed to get a good understanding of what the client wants?

Definition of the project and its intended outcomes [5%]

• Formulate the problem and clearly set the expected outcome. The problem definition after you formulate it may be different from the problem description you are given by the client (i. e. you can find the problem description in the case study section)
• Determine how to measure the success of the project success.

Requirements gathering plan [25%]

Outline the requirements-gathering plan that could help you to achieve the project goals. This stage should at least include the following elements (but should not be limited to these elements):

• Problem structure: a description of how you structured the problem defined in the previous stage. You should break down the problem into sub-problems.
• Prioritisation: This stage could include two steps:
  1. Prioritise sub-problems using the techniques discussed in the lecture. You should define some dimensions on which you want to prioritise the subproblems.
  2. Prioritise the tasks needed to be done to address each sub-problem (if applicable)
• The project timeline: after prioritising the task, you need to determine when each task should start and finish. You can use the Gantt chart (or any other chart for this purpose)
• For each task in the Gantt chart, you should specify who will do it and how.
• A list of the requirements gathering techniques you intend to use in your project and their description.

You may also include additional information, such as how you ensure the project stays on track, what contingency plans might be suitable to deal with unforeseen obstacles, etc. You have the freedom to include any requirements you think are essential for the successful completion of the project.

Literature review [15%]

• A comprehensive literature review aimed at the problem.
• Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the existing methods (solutions) in terms of how well they will fit with the client and the initial brief.
• The Literature review should be completed using the scientific method discussed in the lecture.
• The timeline for its completion should be determined in the requirement gathering plan.

Ethical and legal analysis [15%]

• Think broadly about the potential ethical implications of the project.
• Consider the definition of the project, the tasks, the outcomes, and the solutions from various ethical perspectives; for example, who could be affected, are there any risks to individuals' privacy or reputation, are data being acquired, and if so, what is the provenance of those data?
• From a perspective of information technology law, think broadly about potential legal constraints. Carefully consider areas where IT law might impact the execution of the consultancy project or affect the feasibility of the outcomes.

The proposed solution [25%]

• Present your final solution using the information gathered by completing the tasks specified in the requirement gathering stage, literature review, and ethical and legal analysis.
• Your final solution could be one of the existing solutions, a combination of known solutions, or a new solution invented by you or your team.
• In all cases mentioned above, your solution should be based on your analysis of the information and evidence you obtained. If your solution is different from the existing methods, you should be able to provide enough evidence and analysis to justify your new solution.
