Q1.What is the main cost object of MosCo? What is the main cost driver of this cost object? Explain briefly.

Q2. Provide an example of a direct manufacturing cost of the cost object identified in question 1 and briefly explain why it is a direct cost. Provide an example of indirect manufacturing cost of the cost object and briefly explain why it is an indirect cost.

Q3. Provide an example of variable manufacturing costs of the cost object identified in question 1. Briefly explain why it is a variable cost. Provide an example of fixed manufacturing costs of the cost object. Briefly explain why it is a fixed cost.

Q4. Briefly discuss the difference between manufacturing (product) costs and periodic (period) costs. Provide two examples of periodic costs of semiconductor x100.

Q5. Briefly explain why the designing of semiconductors x50 and x75 are crucial for MosCo for competitively managing and controlling the costs of x50 and x75.

If an essay is submitted instead of directly answering the questions, your assignment will receive zero mark automatically.

• Your responses should be to the point and not indecisive type answers.
• Use of life experiences. Some of you may have experience in working in a manufacturing organisation like the organisation of the case. While your practical life experiences may be useful in responding to questions, you are strongly advised to refrain from using your life experience as evidence/example in responding to the case questions.
