Research Design Proposal Report

A Research Design Proposal should be developed and submitted online via vUWS by Friday 9 June 11.59pm. This is after the literature review, identifying research gaps and establishing research problem/questions for future research. The report may show the proposed research method and design for collecting and analyzing data, if the current work is continued to answer the established research problem/questions.

- Include the research topic, students name, student number and supervisors name - not word counted

1. Introduction (200 words) - include your (refined) Research Problem/ Question(s), and Aim and Objectives.
2. Methodology/ Research Design (650 words) - The student must identify a valid research approach and clearly outline the methods (e.g. data collection, date analysis) they will adopt to undertake the research with justification for the choice.
3. Scope (not word counted)
4. Chapter Breakdown (not word counted)
5. Conclusion (150 words)
6. Work Plan (not word counted) (to complete the whole research project)- The work plan should include major milestones to be met, any research workshop requirements and budget estimate for any resources needed. Students should also need to discuss with their supervisors any ethical considerations and approvals needed. Some dot points or a timeline would suffice at this stage.
