RESEARCH QUESTIONS (5 marks each)
1.Interpersonal communicationIn what ways does the use of active listening benefit a workplace and student environment?
2.Group dynamicsHow might you apply the theory of group dynamics (stage theory) to managing a groupproject.
3.EthicsHow do ethical frameworks assist someone in their workplace?
4.Professional Code of ConductSome argue that a Professional Code of Conduct such as that of the Australian ComputerSociety lack teeth - that is the code has no real control over an ICT or IT professionalsworking life. In a similar way some argue that the Code of Conduct students are expected tofollow have no real control over what actions students take. What do you think of thesearguments?
5.Intellectual propertyPiracy of software, videos, games and music is stealing. Some people argue it is acceptableto make illegal copies as everybody else does it. However, these people forgetthat publishers are entitled to set prices at whatever the market will take. Consumers have achoice. If they want the product enough, they should be prepared to pay for it. If not, theyshould go without. What do you think of this statement? How might your understanding of duty ethics, consequence ethics and virtue ethics guide your answer?

You must find evidence from readings to support your answers. It is important to analyse the readings you choose to help formulate your answer.Steps to take:1.Read through the research question2.Start researching that topic area3.Find a minimum of three academic sources per question to help you formulate your answer (can reuse sources)4.Use your research to support any claims you make in answering the question5.Look at the counter (or opposing) view to your view as well and take that into considerationwhen formulating your answer6.Your answer should have two paragraphs:
FORMAT
The first paragraph should include your analysis (as discussed in class) of the various authorsresearch you have used to formulate your answer to the question.
The second paragraph needs to incorporate examples from yourstudentlife to show your experience in relation to the theories you have analysed. In otherwords, draw on a personal experience either from your life in general, or as a student, orfrom your workplace to test how the theories you discussed unfolded (developed/playedout) in light of your experience and how this experience and your analysis of it might applyto professional practice. For example, when writing about active listening theory describe how you used activelistening (if you did, or the other person, or people, did) in relation to an experience you had.FORMAT continued:Write a minimum of 300 words per research question
