Now that you have developed your learning experience, imagine you have implemented the experience and one of the parents have asked why their child (who is non-Indigenous) participated in the lesson.
Write a response to the parent to explain why it is necessary to include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages, cultures, knowledges and perspectives in Western-based Early Childhood Education and Care settings and/or in School Settings in Australia. You will also need to explain and justify how your chosen story and learning experience is relevant to both Indigenous and non-Indigenous learners.
You must engage with subject readings to support your claims. Assessments that demonstrate effective engagement with additional readings/resources that are relevant and appropriate to this subject may attract a higher grade.
