For this assignment, you are required to review critically 15 peer-reviewed research articles on acupuncture research. Your choice of acupuncture topic, chosen from two topics must be accepted by the lecturer before you collect your peer-reviewed articles from the research databases: The Cochrane Library, Google Scholar, PubMed, and Medline. You are required to write a research report that includes the following sections:

You are required to use the Vancouver reference style for citations and references.
Assignment: Critical Analysis of Research Methods (3000 words) (40% of final mark)
Step 1
Write 1000 words on the differences between quantitative and qualitative research in the following areas:
Explain the difference in worldviews for quantitative and qualitative research.
Explain the differences in sampling for quantitative and qualitative research.
Explain the differences in sample size for quantitative and qualitative research.
Explain the differences in analysis for quantitative and qualitative research.
Step 2
Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of quantitative and qualitative research.
Step 3
Discuss the importance of systematic literature reviews from the point of view of the TCM profession.
Step 4
Critique the importance of research ethics for acupuncture research for quantitative research (for instance, randomised clinical trials), for qualitative research (for instance, clinic case reports), and for systematic literature reviews. Use at least one example from the literature for each type of research method.
Step 5
Design a poster to explain the different research methods used in acupuncture research highlighting the main ethical requirements for each type of research.
