Reviewing, analysing, and translating the most recent scientific knowledge is done through the process of evidence-based practise. In order to enable nurses to make well-informed decisions about patient care, it is important to integrate the best available research as rapidly as possible into clinical practise. Evidence-based practise (EBP) has been demonstrated in studies to be superior to conventional care techniques in terms of care, patient outcomes, cost, and nurse satisfaction. Therefore, EBP is a problem-solving strategy for providing healthcare that combines the best data from carefully planned research and patient care data with patient preferences, values and nursing skills.

Building foundation for evidence-based practise (EBP) is the initial step for discussing ways to ignite a spirit of inquiry in clinical practise. EBP is a multi step process.  There are six steps to identify a clinical issue or question that develops during the course of the patient's care. These are assessing, asking, acquiring, appraising, applying, and evaluating the patient. It includes figuring out a clinical issue or query that comes up during patient care. Then, asking targeted clinical questions, developing a solid clinical question based on the case and gathering data to support the question. Then we need to choose the right resource by starting a search. Then evaluation is done for evidence's suitability, validity and applicability. Then use of the information in patient care is done. The evidence must then be combined with clinical knowledge and patient preferences before being put into practice. Then patient's performance and outcome are ultimately evaluated.

Benefits Of Evidence Based Approaches

Evidence-based approaches have been shown to result in better patient, health and institutional outcomes such as consistent care and lower costs. By keeping procedures up to date and applicable, boosting nurses' self-assurance and decision-making abilities, and adding to the knowledge of the field, evidence-based practise has proven to be applicable for nursing. Scientific research, clinical knowledge, and patient values and circumstances are the three categories of evidence that nurses generally use to determine the optimum physical therapy treatment plan for each specific condition of the patient. The issue with evidence-based practise is that special interests have seized the "quality mark" that is based on evidence. It is now impossible to handle the amount of evidence, particularly clinical guidelines. Benefits that are statistically significant could be negligible in therapeutic setting. Unforgiving guidelines and technology-driven prompts can lead to management-driven rather than patient-centered treatment. Such complex multi morbidity and evidence-based guidelines are frequently mapped poorly that need to be concerned.
