Introduction:
You will need to review the supplied video scenarios, which offer visualised constructs of a Health Assessment nursing interview. The constructs present both a poorly conducted interview and an effective therapeutic interview. While some aspects of the video scenarios, display obvious positive or negative responses during an interview, other sections are more subtle in a productive or non-productive techniques of communication.
This assignment requires that you utilise observational skills, coupled with analytical (critical thinking) skills to be able to understand the nuances of positive and negative interview styles and outcomes displayed in the scenarios. You will need to create an analytical case study addressing the negative and positive aspects of the interview offered. To do this you will need to build on your research skills and read and utilise academic resources. These skills are necessary for effective communication in the academic environment and nursing practice.
Aim:
Nurses are a key element in a complex health care network and as such, require outstanding communication skills in all formats.

Discuss why it is important for Registered Nurses (RNs) to communicate effectively in healthcare settings (approximately 250 -300 words)
Discuss and explain Effective Communication strategies used by the interviewer in the videoed scenario (approximately 250 -300 words)
Discuss nontherapeutic and ineffective communication techniques used by the interviewer, and discussed how these techniques create barriers (approximately 250 -300 words)
Please also provide a conclusion to this essay that summarises the essay and is a brief recap of the main points that ties the argument together (approximately 100-150 words)
