ASSESSMENTGUIDELINES The Anatomy and Physiology 1 Leaflet Submission is the second assessment for AP1. This assessment aims to enhance your understanding of human anatomy by requiring you to create a detailed, informative leaflet that visually and textually describes key anatomical structures and physiological concepts. This will help you developyourskillsinscientificillustration, labelling, and informationsummarization. Thisassessmenttestsyourknowledge andcompetenciesrelatedto LO04:PC05, PC06 and LO07: PC01, PC02, PC03. Detailed instructions are located in the rubric below. ThisassessmentrequiressubmissiononBlackBoard,amaximumsimilarityof20%isacceptable. |

APPEALSPOLICY Any concern shall be conveyed to the assessor of the unit. A learner seeking further review may submit an application form to reconsider the grade to the Academic Director through theChairof the Assessment Committee within 7 days of thedeclaration of the final results. The Academic Director shall form a committeeof at least three faculty members, one of whom taught the unit. The committee shall submit its recommendation to the Academic Director within 3 days from its formation. The decision of the Academic Director shall be considered final in determining the grade of the appealing learner. |

Duringthisassessment, thelearnershoulddemonstratecompetencyofthefollowinglearningoutcomesandrelatedperformancecriteria: LO04: Describe the structure and function of the bone tissue, skeleton and joints.
PC05:Outlinesomeoftheimportantbonesofthehumanaxialandappendicularskeleton. PC06. Elicit the type of joints and their role in movements
LO07:Describethestructureandfunctionofthespecialsenses(smell,taste,vision,auditoryandbalance)
PC01.Drawandlabelallthe4structuresconstitutingthespecialsenses(tongueandgustatoryreceptors,noseandolfactorynerves,theeyeanditsinternalstructures, the 3 parts of the ear).
PC02. Explain how different types of energies including odour, light and sound are converted to electrical impulses (action potential). PC03. Recognize common pathologies affecting the structure and function of these senses.
