Component 1: The Lean Canvas Start Up Plan
Task:
The first part of the assessment requires you produce a fully developed Lean Canvas business plan based on a start-up idea that you have conceptualised for potential launch. This can be a concept that you wish to launch or on a fictitious idea that you will use for the purpose of this assignment.
Your start-up idea should be realistic, take an account of opportunity analysis and consider current market dynamics.
Your lecturer will provide you with additional parameters and suggestions as to how to formulate this in class. The word count here is 3000 (Min) 5000 (Max)
The Lean Canvas:
Suggested Structure:
We will be addressing the structure in class and will break it down piece by piece. However, the general structure of the report is as follows:

Introduction
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Problem
Solution
Customer Segments
Unique Value Proposition
Channels
Revenue Streams
Cost Structure
Key Metrics

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusions and Recommendations
Appendix If applicable
Note:
It is essential to demonstrate some evidence of the following elements in both your lean canvas and value proposition elements of your assignment:
Structure/logical Flow
Self-Directed Research (academic and otherwise)
Application of Examples
Statistics/Facts and Figures (from reputable sources).
Component 2: Value Proposition Canvas
Task:
The second task in this brief requires you to produce a value proposition canvas. The VPC will be produced for the same idea that you have used for the lean canvas part of your assessment. The VPC requires you to consider three elements:
Customer Job(s)
Customer Pain Points
Customer Gains
In the submission you will break down and discuss each of the above elements as they specifically apply/relate to your business idea. This then means that you can re-visit the unique value proposition component in your lean canvas and adjust it (if required) to take any new findings or aspects into account.
It is advisable to also include a one page value proposition canvas which you can access here: https://bit.ly/2S3MR85 or here: https://bit.ly/3DvuCDV.
Your lecturer will guide you through this process in class and will give additional recommendations and tips in how you can produce this submission.
