Your task: In learning about construction procurement, we have explored the Traditional
Contract and Design and Construct (D&C) Contracting Model for construction project
delivery.
- Undertake further research and prepare a critical analysis of both the Traditional and D&C procurement structure, roles and responsibilities, and potential advantages and disadvantages for the project delivery. Which questions would you discuss with your client to help them decide which model to procure a factory warehouse building? (10 Marks)
- Assume your client is looking to procure a new warehouse building for a 2000m2 single-level factory with a 150m2 office attached. Using Rawlinsons Cost Guide 2020-2021 on Moodle, prepare the Initial Cost Estimate and Elemental Cost Plan for discussion with your client. Make relevant assumptions and include a building sketch with measurements. (5 Marks)
- Include your research of academic and industry resources as in-text references and prepare an alphabetical bibliography at the end of this section of the assignment. (5 Marks)
