Select one of the following profiles:

• Client with Parkinson’s disease, an intellectual disability and Crohn’s disease.
• Indigenous client with bipolar affective disorder, substance abuse and inter generational trauma.
• Younger client with an acquired brain injury and alcohol abuse, in unsuitable housing.
• Older client with recently diagnosed Alzheimer’s disease and visual and hearing impairment.

Include the following in your project:

• Research some of the physiology and psychology as it applies to the profile.
• Provide information about the nutrition and dietetics as it applies to the profile.
• Identify some of the common issues and challenges facing people with that profile.
• Identify some of the common health problems as well as the possible presentation of particular behavioral issues that may be associated with that profile.
• Describe some of the formal and informal assessment approaches used for people with complex and / or special needs.
• Include useful websites that provide additional information about the disability and complex needs.
