For this assignment, you are required to conduct a SWOT analysis and prepare a short report on the Australian Health Care System, focusing on its capacity to deliver universal healthcare coverage and achieve positive (or better) health outcomes for the population. This assignment, worth 40% of your overall grade, presents an opportunity to critically evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within the Australian healthcare system. Through this analysis, you will gain valuable insights into its performance and identify the potential for improvement.

The assignment task.

In this assignment, you are required to complete the following tasks:

SWOT Analysis Grid

Utilise the provided SWOT analysis grid template (an example is attached below).

Under each SWOT heading, include a minimum of three (3) clear and concise points. Organise these points as dot points for clarity.

A 2500-word report (+/- 10%) using information from your completed SWOT grid. In your report, critically discuss the points identified in your SWOT grid, addressing the following aspects:

Analyse how the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats you identified in the SWOT grid are interconnected. Explore how these elements may interact and impact the overall performance of the Australian Health Care System.

Support your analysis with real-world examples, preferably from the Australian context or the Australian healthcare system. These examples should illustrate how specific strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats or their interactions manifest in real-life scenarios of Australians.

Propose potential solutions to address each weakness and threat you identified in the SWOT analysis.
