Mrs Robyn Jennings, a 78-year-old-woman with type 1 diabetes mellitus, was admitted with an ulcer on her right toe and under the ball of her right foot. Her right foot and lower leg are cool and pulseless.

Three signs of a negative fentanyl reaction are as follows (Hwang et al., 2020):

2.Hypotension: This may appear as fainting, dizziness, or light headedness. In case of extreme drowsiness or the patient cannot be woken up, a medical emergency is indicated.

3.Bluish lips: This may indicate that the patient's blood isn't receiving enough oxygen.
