responding to at least one post each week from other students; each post should be between 200-250 words in length.
At the end of Week 12 (Sunday at 23.55 Melbourne time), you will need to choose which of your posts that you would like to submit for assessment.
For submission you need to:
select the three (3) posts responding to the weekly stimulus post you feel you have best met the assessment criteria. Each of the posts submitted must be from a different weekly topic to the others. Label each post with the Week number in which it was posted.
select the three (3) posts responding to the posts of other students you feel you have best met the assessment criteria. Each of the posts submitted must be from a different weekly topic to the others. Label each post with the Week number in which it was posted.
submit these as one Word document.
The two groups of selected posts may cover the same or different weekly topics (i.e., they don't need to match).
Whilst the assessment requires you to respond to at least one post each week from other students, we encourage you to post often and regularly to share and learn from your peers.
Please follow the specific instructions and address the criteria for each individual assessment discussion forum in the relevant weeks. Please note that the assessment discussion forums are clearly marked. There may be additional discussion activities/forums/padlets in the subject and these are designed to enhance your understanding of the subject content, however they are not graded.
Initial posts responding to the stimulus should be up by 23.55 on Wednesday of each week (Melbourne time) to give other students time to respond, with responses to student posts and further discussion up by 23.55 on Sunday (Melbourne time).
When posting on a discussion forum, please remember that for the discussions to work and enhance your learning, we need to create a safe space, where people feel they can openly voice their opinions and share experiences without unwelcome criticism. This means being careful about what you post, your tone and your response to others so that you can build constructive relationships.
