Assessment Purpose:
This assessment enables students to gain important nursing and academic skills to effectively describe the pathophysiology, treatment and rehabilitation of common conditions in clear and concise clinical terminology; use AI as a tool to enhance the development of critical thinking and clinical judgement; use the nursing process to describe characteristics of family/whanau health and health literacy in the context of the community socio-political environment; and analyse the contextual factors that impact on peoples experience of health by responding with effective health promotion strategies.
This assessment links assessment of learning and assessment as learning by supporting students to develop skills such as: utilising current AI technology, data collection and accurate interpretation, searching and analysing the literature, problem solving and decision making, critical thinking, planning and drafting, and academic writing and referencing.
The assignment provides key insights into the important role of the registered nurse in health promotion; in particular, the nurses role as a researcher, health promotor and advocate.

Part A: Write a Nursing Case Study (detailed assessment of a patients medical history, diagnosis,
and treatment 1500-2000 words) based on ONE of the scenarios and using the template provided.
