Presenting to Community Stakeholders and Post-Project Reflection
In earlier assignments, you conducted research, gathered data, conducted analyses, and proposed an evidence-based community partnership program to school officials.
Imagine you have received approval from your internal stakeholders to move forward with the project, and you must contact the community partner with your proposal. You will compose a 2-page business letter to the community stakeholders to present the partnership program.
Then, you will compose a 1- to 2-page reflection about the principals role in developing relationships among stakeholders in the school community, including students, families, school personnel, and the community at large, to support student learning in an equitable environment.
Step 1
Review your instructors feedback on your Module 4 assignment. Make any necessary changes to your ideas before writing your business letter.
As I review your poster, it is not clear who you are partnering with for your internship school. I see a timeline with phases from planning to sustainability. The color-coding is not present. The data that is provided on the poster demonstrates the need for communication with families. The presentation for the poster is not included. I do see a Powerpoint presentation, however, that was not the assignment. I could not see there was audio or a video of you presenting. As we moved from each module, I provided options for support to provide you with assistance, however, I did not hear back. Unfortunately, what is submitted does not meet all of the requirements of the assignment. More details are within the rubric.
Step 2
Compose a 2-page business letter to the potential community partner. Your letter should include:
- An introduction
- Your student achievement need
- How the community or family partnership might address the issue
- The vision for the partnership program, providing evidence-based data and rationale for the proposed partnership
- The three SMART goals for the program
- The steps necessary to initiate and implement the partnership
- How the partnership is mutually beneficial if successful
- Conclusion with a call to action
Incorporate one original data visual in your business letter. The data visual should be insightful, leading to explicit connections between school-based decisions, plans, and actions with supporting data analyses or evidence. Save your business letter. You will add it to your reflection paper as an appendix.
Use the content you developed in previous assignments while considering your audience. Remember, you are attempting to sell the community partner on your idea so they agree to work with you.

Step 3
Read the course description and reflect on what you learned in this course. Use the following questions as a guide:
- How well did your internship experiences and course assignments contribute to your professional growth and your ability to foster family-community-school engagement for student achievement?
- How have these activities promoted your ability to harness data analysis and evidence to develop supportive, diverse, equitable, and inclusive school environments?
- What was the most impactful required reading, discussion, presentation, or learning activity that helped you understand the principals role in developing relationships among stakeholders in the school community to support student learning in an equitable environment? Why?
Support your reflection with at least one scholarly resource.
Step 4
Compile your work into a single document to include an APA-formatted title page, 1- to 2-page reflection, a reference page, and an appendix with the 2-page business letter.
Use the Module 5 assignment rubric to informally assess your work and ensure you have met all requirements.
Submit your document.
