Your paper will make use of APA sources. The APA source is an article from a refereed (peer-reviewed) journal (preferably an American Psychological Association journal published within the last five years) which addresses one of the psychological concepts or topics relevant to your intended career. You will want to find an article which is research (data-driven) based and which uses the experimental or correlational method.  The article must have the traditional sections associated with a research study (abstract, introduction (literature review), methods, results, discussion, references). That means no reviews of literature or other types of articles. If you are not sure, check with your instructor.

1. Choose an article from an APA approved journal where the author(s) describes the Purpose, Method, and Results of a scientific investigation. Examples of APA Journals include:

2. Identify your article by including a full APA style reference of it at the top of your assignment.
3. Briefly summarize the article using the Introduction section, which generally states an explanation for the investigation and the purpose of the study. The Introduction also reviews relevant research.
4. Next is the Methods section, which includes a description of the participants, instruments, and procedures involved in the study.
5. The Results section follows next, which addresses the significant findings of the study.
6. Next comes the Discussion section where the author(s) the findings from the study and future recommendations.
7. Finally, the Conclusion section will discuss how the topic of the study is important to you and which chapter from the textbook it is relevant to and why.

Your paper must be done using APA formatting style which includes:

1. A title page with the title in the middle of the page
2. Page numbering in the upper right corner beginning with 1 on the title page
3. In-text citations in APA format (that means the citation follows either the quote or the paraphrase of the information provided)
