This is an individual assignment with a suggested word count limit of 1000 (+/-10%) words in which you will write a Business Report.

Individually, you are required to find a UK based medium size business. You should NOT USE the big companies like Tesco, Morrison, BP etc. Choose a UK based innovative company, which is interesting, and challenging. (You will fail if it is not UK based). You need to do an in- depth research as how the business operates. Using your knowledge of business concepts and tools studied in this module, analyse the business doing a detailed SWOT Analysis of the business, use of CSR and Innovation by the business.

You then need to come up with recommendations as how the business can improve as well as expand.

Part 1 Introduction (150-200 words)

Briefly mention, the context or background and purpose of this report, and what you have included in this report e.g., business overview, business analysis, conclusion, recommendations, and reference list.

Also provide an overview of the chosen business in terms of their structure, location/profit/main competitors.

Part 2 Analysis (700-800 words)

2.1 SWOT Analysis of business (300-400 words)

2.2 Use of Corporate social responsibility by the business (150-200 words)

2.3 Innovation and creativity in business (150-200 words)

Part 3 Conclusion and Recommendations (150-200 words)

Recommendations for the business to improve and expand.

Part 4 References and Appendices (not included in the word count)

At least 4 books and journal articles. You can also use websites to get information about the business but 4 academic references are MUST.

Must choose a UK based small/medium size business, as you will fail if it is not a UK based company.

You should not use the companies you have used for Assignments 1 as it will result in fail.

Late submissions arent allowed. If students cannot submit on time may get a Resit opportunity (maybe with a grade capping option) subject to the Exam Boards approval/decision.

Turnitin is not compatible with Publisher or files saved in Apple MacBook. Therefore, use Microsoft Word document for preparing your report.

DO-NOT save work in an image format as this will not generate Turnitin similarity report which is required for an assessment.
