Section 1: Introduction and background (c. 600-650 words) 25 marks)

Discuss whether the study would be qualitative or quantitative or a mixed- methods study.
Define and describe the chosen methodology.
Draw on scholarly literature to explain the key concepts, the scope, the strength, and limitations of the methodology.
Discuss the possible variations that might be present in the methodology.
Clearly and briefly explain the approach to the methodology that you will undertake.
Compare the methodology selected with one other in the unit and make a case for the approach selected as - Assessment # Page 5 of 15 the most suitable and justify it with scholarly citations.
The guiding principle is that it should contain sufficient details.

Section 3: Methods of Data collection: (c.600-650 words) (25 marks).
Section A: Data Collection
Discuss forms of data that you could collect and why these would be important to your study. Provide a clear and detailed description of the participants (site, sample size, gender, ethnicity if needed).
Discuss the processes of data collection(for example, interviews( how many, type, format of interviews), surveys( details of the survey to be conducted), observations( how many, format, questions to focus upon for observations), curriculum documents, worksheets, lesson plans etc.,
Explain the importance of the data source for your study in terms of what it would enable you to examine in your research issue. Discuss One set of existing data (or secondary data source) that might be relevant to your study. Explain and interpret the data source what it contains; why it is relevant to your current practice; what it will enable you to comprehend. If you do not include existing data briefly state why existing data has not been included.
