Summary and Purpose of Assessment

This knowledge assessment is task three (3) of three (3) assessment tasks you will need to completesatisfactorily to be deemed competent for CHCMHS001. Completing this task allows you to demonstrate you have the knowledge to work with people with mental health issues.

This assessment task will also demonstrate you understand the values and principles of the mental health sector along with the different contexts of mental health work.

Assessment Instructions

What

This is a written assessment where you are required to answer fifteen (15) questions; utilising your knowledge of common mental health issues and the key issues facing people with mental health issues. Spaces have been provided for your answers.

You will be required to identify existing services and the circumstances that may require a referral. You will be required to identify both myths and facts about mental illness.

Where

You will be provided class time to work on this assessment, however, you may also need to make time to work on this outside of class.

How

All fifteen (15) questions must be answered correctly for you to be assessed as satisfactory for this assessment task.

Students are to download the assessment task from Canvas to complete the assessment by the due date. Once completed it is to be submitted on Canvas.

This is an individual task that you must complete with minimal support from others.
