Assessment 1 - Medication Calculations (This is a hurdle: You must submit all 4 certificates to pass the subject )This examination constitute 20% of your final grade. Passing this examination allows your to administer medications on placement safely.Please complete the IntelliLearn Maths Skills for Nursing course. You will be given access to IntelliLearn bye practice modules in IntelliLearn go toMedication Calculations: Customised Assessments and complete assessment 1,6,10 and 11.You must obtain 100% to obtain a certificate (you are allowed to attempt as many times as you need to obtain the certificate). Then upload four (4) certificates to the link below to obtain your 20%. You only get a grade after submitting all 4 correct certificates (this is a hurdle). The due date for this assessment is 9th of April at 2355. Late submission penalties apply.

Submission

Submit the medication calculation certificates as individual files labeled Certificate 1, Certificate 6, Certificate 10 and Certificate 11 using the link below. Certificate 11 is the hardest but you have to submit the certificate to pass the subject.

Assessment 2 - Module Quizzes

These quizzes constitutes 30% of your final grade. There are five quizzes below and each quiz is worth 5%. You can attempt a module quiz at anytime after the completion of the modules. However, the last date to attempt the quizzes is the 22nd of May. You must use the computers on campus only. If you attempt at home please be aware that there will be no extra attempts for frozen screens, accidentally closing the screen or internet disruption as this can not be verified. On campus please do not open multiple screen as you could accidentally close the attempt by mistake (no further attempts will be given).

The quizzes are not easy and here is a guide on how to prepare for them.

For evidence of computer glitches or internet cut out please open up zoom and share your screen to your self then select record session. This allows you to record yourself doing the quiz and at the end of the session you have a video to show if you an internet issue. If this is complicated, take screen shots or use any other technology to provide evidence.

Complete the reading on the principles of drug administration (its one of the first chapters in any textbook)

Complete all the clinical skills videos

Read the medications (in detail- mechanism of action, side effects) in the two medication charts in the lab section

Wait until you have finished all laboratories (online or physically) to start this quiz.

If you are going on placement it could be a good idea to supplement your knowledge
