Digital - The module implicitly develops the students understanding of the use and nature of digital technology within avariety ofInternationalHRMcontextsespecially inrelation toglobalHRM,the gig economy and the digital workforce, as well as national, environmental, as well as labour market and people data analytics specifically used in this assessment in relation to learning outcomes one and two. Students develop the transferrable skills relating to their own digital competences and behaviours through research for preparation and completion of assessments, engaging in online learning,communicatingwithothersthroughdigitaltechnologies,anddemonstratinganagilemindset and flexible approach that assists in the navigation between physical and digital world.
GlobalAllcasestudiesandexamplesusedthroughoutthemoduleexploreandhighlight theglobal nature of HRM in domestic and international settings, and are the focus of this assessment. A significant part of the module relates to comparative employment relations theory and cultural perspectives as well as international case studies during each seminar. This therefore develops the studentsawarenessandunderstandingof globalissuesandcontexts,andaglobalmindset(indicated in learning outcomes one and two), in particular regarding cultural and intercultural awareness and issues that are explicitly covered in this assessment.
Entrepreneurial - This module encourages the students to develop their reflective capacities to understandaspectsofleadershipandmanagementanddeveloptheirowncapacities.Themethods used are collegial and dialogic throughout, providing an opportunity for students to develop their leadership capacities in the workplace. |

Questions about the assessment should be directed to the staff member who has set the task/assessment brief. This will usually be the Module Leader. They will be happy to answer any queries you have.
Staffmemberscanoftenprovidefeedbackon an assignment plan but cannot review any drafts of your work prior to submission. The only exception to this rule is for Dissertation Supervisors to provide feedback on a draft of your dissertation.
Referencingandindependentlearning
Please ensure you reference a range of credible sources, with due attention to the academic literature in the area. The time spent on research and reading from good quality sources will be reflected in the quality of your submitted work.
Remember that what you get out of university depends on what you put in. Your teaching sessions typically represent between 10% and 30% of the time you are expected to study for your degree. A 20-credit module represents 200 hours of study time. The rest of your time should be taken up by self- directed study.
